I am a kinesiology major, but am using kinesiology as a way to apply to a nursing program. However, Kinesiology is the "study of human movement" essentially, and because of this a lot of the classes are science based, so you take a lot of kinesiology, biology, and even chemistry courses. The kinesiology department has a Kinesiology Student Organization (KSO), where they have monthly meetings where you can network with those in your same field. CSUSM also offers a Masters program in kinesiology. The kinesiology major is in the College of Education, Health, and Human Services. This is the same college that education, nursing, social work, and other majors relating to the colleges title are. Kinesiology majors are required to take movement classes, which is fun as you can take a yoga or Pilates class. There is also a lot of opportunity and funding available for kinesiology related research projects.
